Please join me in congratulating the Department of Special Education for their U.S. News and World Report #15 ranking of the online Licensure/Degree program with an emphasis in Severe Disabilities. Being ranked #15 is a testament to the extraordinary quality of this program as well as its value to the public given delivery via interactive videoconferencing. Providing this level of quality instruction through distance education has taken tremendous effort and dedication on the part of the faculty and staff in the Special Education department. Children with disabilities and their families throughout Utah and the nation benefit greatly when teachers receive high-quality preservice training. Thanks to everyone involved in this project, especially Dr. Matthew Jameson (Distance Education Program Area Coordinator and Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education), Ryan Walker, Chris Bischke, and Cheryl Winston. Please visit the U.S. News website for additional information and a listing of the 2018 best online education program rankings.
