Standards For Written Work
The Department of Special Education expects students to follow the standards of the PUBLICATION MANUAL OF THE AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (6th edition) in preparing scholarly papers. The decision to follow the APA format is based on the fact that, at the University of Utah, APA is the most widely used format among graduate students as well as being the most frequently used format within the Social and Behavioral Science area. Students are expected to acquire and use this valuable resource.
