Graduate Non-Degree Seeking Options in Special Education

SP ED Endorsement/Licensure Only

Students who have previously been awarded a degree (minimum level: bachelor) are eligible to take classes in our endorsement/initial or second licensure only programs. Students in these programs are not seeking a degree from the University of Utah; instead, students will complete only the requirements needed for a teaching license in an area of special education.

Programs are offered in the following areas: Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Severe Disabilities, Preschool Special Education/Early Intervention, Visual Impairments, Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Deafblind.

BCBA Program

Students who have previously been awarded a degree (minimum level: master) are eligible to take classes in our BCBA program. Please be aware that a student's Master degree must be from one of three areas: Education, Psychology or Behavior Analysis.

Students in this program are not seeking a degree from the University of Utah; instead, students will complete only the requirements needed to sit for the national BCBA certification exam.
